Ok, this isn't scientific, but here goes. When I ran the mod, I had 6.00's in it . They worked at SMS. When I took the car to Hanford, I put in 5.43's. The rpm I was turning at the two tracks was comparable. If you divide 5.43 by 6.00 you get 90.5, which means the difference  between the ratios is 9.5%. You need to find a trans that has a 9.5%(or so) difference between the 2nd gear ratio and the 3rd gear ratio. I don't know if such a thing even exists, but if it does, you could run 2nd at SMS and 3rd at Hanford. Good luck.
