Southwest Contractors will present West Coast 360 Sprint Cars and the Dwarf Car Nationals Saturday night for the 24th running of the Bud Stanfield Memorial.

At the top of the leader board in the Sprint Car championship chase are Justyne Hamblin, of Hanford, Rusty Carlile, of Bakersfield, and Peter Murphy, of Clovis, with Carlile in the lead at the moment.

Hoping to be up front in the Pro division of the Dwarf Car Nationals are Ventura Racing Association (VRA) front runners Ray Estrada, of Yucaipa, Angel Figueroa, and Brian Saxton of Mentone.

On the Senior side of the Nationals, VRA regulars Bill Van Praag, of Ventura, Kevin Alverson, of Newbury Park, and Mike Neal, of Northridge, hope to be contending for the win.

The following Saturday night, October 17, the 2009 racing season will come to an end at Santa Maria Speedway with a non-points race for Papich Construction IMCA Modifieds, The Toste Grading & Paving Mini Nationals, and a Powder Puff event for MMI Factory Stocks.

Gates for this Saturday night's final 2009 appearance of 360 sprinters will open at 4:00 p.m. with qualifying at 5:00 p.m. and racing at 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be priced at: $16.00 for adults, $14.00 for seniors & military and their spouses, $5.00 for kids 6 to 12, with youngsters five and under free. Parking and camping is always free. The Speedway is located 1/4-mile north of the 101/166 interchange on Hutton Road.
