I have just updated the current point standings in every division except the East vs. West. I'll get those updated soon.

Interesting. 50% more drivers earned points in Modifieds over other classes, pay all the same fees, more people in the stands and pits, but still race for $500.00

the highest car count for any class this season would probably be last weekends factory stock race with bako and oceans cars. 38 cars

Numbers do not lie, they drew more cars. Dollars, it is simple economics, they contribute more and the compensation is not
equal. Does not matter if , it is late model, sprint car, stock car,
midget, or whatever, the incentive should be there to return every week. Reward the drivers that pay the bills and the class will continue to grow because it is a somewhat easy to maintain and race class of cars with some cost limitations and rules that apply a lot of places.
The only way to make a small fortune in racing is to start with a big one!

Hey cc2, Im thinking I know who you are. And it is a fact you run a top notch race program. And your right your class draws alot of cars . But when you bought your Mod,and deceided to race IMCA,were you not aware there purse is low.Just cause you spend alot to race this class it doesnt mean your going to get it back. Instead of complaining here. Why not call Brett Root at IMCA and talk to him about the purse. And dont get mad when he tells you to go pound sand. You think your the only one saying the purse is low.
But you will be there next year racing, and even if you sell your car it will be racing next year. This IS why IMCA works You will have a place to race and Your car will have a place to race.Imca racing will continue with or w/out you.If you wanted to have a say you should have bought a street stock, then you tried pull the rules to your favor.Of course a corvette bodied streeter anit legal

Just so you know, IMCA has absolutely nothing to do with local purse and the number of laps ran. Ventura sometimes only runs 15 laps.
That is two items Brett Root says he has no control over.
I really did not mean to sound like I was complaining just said the numbers were interesting. (old age does strange things)

Give CK a chance he is in his first year and has done well with a few exceptions, I am sure CK will get with the program and find sponsorship to get the purse higher next year, you got to remember alot of tracks have stepped it up this year with the pay.

And a lot of businesses this past year have cut their budgets for marketing and sports sponsorships. That's why the Speedway tries to market our sponsors in a way that maximizes their marketing dollar.
Fans can help us out by patronizing the businesses that sponsor the track and the racecars. And be sure to tell them that you appreciate their sponsorship of local racing. Let 'em know you're there because you're a race fan.
Without sponsors, an already challenging business would be impossible. Give Chris credit for constantly looking for ways to benefit his track sponsors and the sponsors of the race teams. (and those that sponsor both).
That way we'll always have a place to go race, and to watch racing.
