Lance, If you think you can do a better job then come on out and do it.
If you dont like it, well thats to bad for you cause most everyone so far has had a good time on the tracks that have developed so far.
Tim.

i'm not sure i could do a better job at track prep, because it would take some time to figure out. it looks to me like the extremely heavy tracks send to much clay off the surface and i've not heard of clay being added as of yet this year. the two times that the factorys have run it has been extremely dry (opening night) and the other was extremely wet heavy. the mix is great but i'm getting like linson, wondering WHAT"S NEXT. i don't think the tracks getting enough attention to detail.
DISCLIAMER; these are jmo's not intended to be negitive. thanks to tom and tim for doing what they do. it's more then i'm doing for track prep...........

Hey Tim -- (half of the bobbsey twins.....lol)
First, always remember you are "never" going to please "ALL" the drivers on any given night. Second, I have not herd many drivers that have had a real problem with the track condition, other than opening night being a little bit of a challenge. And Third, don't be to concerned about off base comments from motor mouth spectators............. With not having a lot of experience with dirt track preparation, I think you guys (the bobbsey twins), are doing a pretty good job........

I too have to add my .02 cents from the fans point, if you have never even tried to prep a track, or have any idea of what a operator does, then come on down and give it a try, Tom and Tim have done an outstanding job, and with Chris and his staff have also done an outstanding job of turning SMS around and make it a great track to be proud of. All of you keep up the outstanding work, and like was said before, you cant please everyone, but dont take cheap pot shots at the people trying to do the best they know how. Again if you feel you can do better, I am sure both Tom and Tim would be glad to let you show off your talents...JMOO...Don

The track was fine last weekend. Tim & Tom are doing a great job. If the track was the exact same every week what fun would that be?

This was a simple question....I too appreciate what the "bobbsey Twins" (lol) are doing. I enjoy having a different track to adapt to also. In no way was I trying to be sarcastic or negative, I missed the races and I'm just curious what the surface was like. Did nobody drive on it?
Dry? Ruts? Heavy?........anyone?
By the way...Thanks Tim and Tom

LOTS of people drove on it.
You don't hear us complaining.
NO reason to.
It was unusual to scuff it up and water just before the racing began, but everyone runs on the same track and the fast ones found their way to the front. (I got to watch their trunklids).
Later in the evening it was holding up well.
Tom and Tim are doing a great job...

Junk. The bobbsey twins have managed to turn Ascot into Corona
Dear LanceAG-
I have to admit I was very upset when I saw what you wrote about my 1/2 of the bobbsy twins (Tom ,who does not like being referred to as a "bobbsy twin"). I wanted to share with you that my huband who works mostly out of town Mon-Thur came home Thursday night and headed straight to the track as he needed to push down the cushion from the week before. My two year old daughter saw her father from Thurday night until Sunday morning when we went to church for ONE whole hour as he was working on track prep. In the future if you take issue with the track conditions please bring it to Chris Kern's attention directly along with any suggestions you might have to resolve the issue you see.
It sounded like you were offering your services since you seem to know how to do this better. I am assuming you have 25 plus years of experience running various types of heavy equipment and prior track prep experience (working with clay) and that you would like to help. Please give Chris your resume as I am sure he would consider your application and I would love to have my daughter spend more time with her father other then just Sundays. So either step up or please keep your negative comments between yourself and the track promoter Chris Kerns.
Sincerely,
Susan Breshears

As we all know mother nature has all to do with track prep, therefore we should not take kudos for good tracks nor criticism for bad tracks........................ darn i sound like a a prophet. by the way good job Tom! we are hoping to get our POS out there soon.
