I am starting this new thread because after reading the other thread, it seamed to me that things were getting away from the subject. When we came up with the 3 year rule book, we all agreed, that there might be some fine tuning on things that would make it easier for the racers and or more cost effective. The PERFORMANCE part of the rule book are set for 3 years, but a thing like the body rule is in no way a performance advantage to anyone, as you still have to weigh 3000 lbs., so it was up for discussion. It is not being suggested that any race team has to or not have to run an aluminum body, they would just have a choice, depending on what makes it easier for them, and maybe more cost effective, as aluminum bodies can be ordered in various colors, and to some degree, easier to repair, and or replace body parts. Weather or not you would be running an aluminum or steel body, you would still have to conform to the Super Street body guidelines, so as not to get the current LM look. I am not for or against this modification, and since the E/W is a racer built series, where it was agreed that majority votes decide, I would like this thread to have only car # and vote. So if you are currently running in the E/W series, or have run or plan to participate in the series in the future, please post your vote...YES...NO...DON'T CARE.
Thanks Sandie Simkins
