I am assuming(And you KNOW what that means) the track is NOT getting a piece of these sponsor monies.

At some tracks I've seen, the track will not announce ANY event sponsor that does not go through the track, and therefore PAY the track a portion of what they are trying to give away.

(Essentially PAY for the advertising you may gain by the small sponsorship)

It may not be relevant, but remember when the 50/50 drawing was a 50/50 drawing...  Now it's what a 33/33/33 drawing.   Granted I understand the other 1/3 is going into the points fund or something which is cool, but the track STILL found a way to get into a piece of that.

I think you are referring to the E/W 50/50, I was talking about the Noontimer Lions Club deal.  If not mistaken I've heard it's a 33/33/33 deal these days.  Which, like I said is cool cause the Lions get to raise some funds, a lucky spectator gets some bucks and a portion goes into the other fund...but at the same time, the Lions portion and the fans winnings were each reduced by about 16 1/2 % in doing this.

The track makes out, cause it's like FREE money to them to add to the pot, and they don't have to employ anyone to raise the funds.
