I'll give them some room on the early racing, I know of 5 cars that are just not done yet and one broken for the time being.  March is pretty early to expect everyone to be ready to go racing, especially in these financial times. However with that said the inter-squabbling will be the nail.  There are several Bako cars ready that didn't show, i assume for obvious reasons...

My car is ready but you can take me out of the "obvious reasons" category. Hanford and tulare are not in my budget plus I don't have a gear for those tracks.

You assume in error ---  There are just to many races.  There are somewhere around 55 races for the SS just in Cali and another 20 out of state.  The most active travelers in the SS class are going to make around 20 to 25 races.  The rest of the local drivers might travel two to three times in the whole season.  There is just to many races to have good car counts at every race.  There were 7 cars at Hanford and three of them were from BK, two were from SM.  BK is supporting the IMCA/WCSS/ALL STAR races the best they can.  Car counts will get a little better by the time the SM season starts.  There are about 3 in the works in BK and 5 in SM that are almost ready plus the one that is getting a motor fixed.

Point taken, Chet and I raced the same way, where we could afford...

Minus a couple glaring examples....

I see...so too many races huh? The fact is that every class has many races to chose from. There were plenty A and B mods and they have plenty of races to chose from. Despite overpaying on SS purses over and over, they still don't come. I have always appreciated your guy's passion for SS but....COME ON ALREADY. Jeese, it's the same crappy excuses every year. You guys have one or two good races all year and all I hear is SEE SEE, WE'RE AWESOME.
As a fan of racing, all I see this class for is bako...maybe. It will never grow more than where it is. You can't run a class on votes and a show of hands. You have really nice cars that are a little too expensive for some and too slow for others. There are too many viable classes out there too chose from as an owner.
Business is business also. Don't expect good tracks like hanford and Santa Maria too continue to pay 9 SS 1000 bucks to when and 25 B mods less or 30 A mods usually less except last weekend. There looked like maybe 600 people in the stands. There is no way Hanford can support big SS purses with that crappy car support. 4 cars in the main. That was sad.

Not sure why you deem it necessary to give this class a bad time.  How about something like --- "This is a good class with a bunch of good guys, and I truly hope things work out for them".  Thanks Gary.

I definitely like watching a few guys...Frazier,3d guy, Randolph, all good guys and fun to watch, I just get annoyed when I see good money being waisted. It's been years and years of it old school. It's not personnel. I would rather see tracks put there effort in something else because they have had more than a few opportunities to get this thing straight. I just see more of the same.
Wouldn't they spend the same on a crate late a limited sprint.
All I know is the mods get like 5 or 600 for main and show up every week. Latemodels show up every week. Hobbies 4 bangers, all show up every week.
