The rules for Ventura Hobby stocks are out!!!! I am just wondering will there be "B" main on the opening night in Ventura? I know all the Santa Maria guys should be in town for the first race. This should be a good year of racing.

Will perris and victorville cars be allowed to run with standard transmissions and 8" wheels?

The 8 inch rims and 60 series tires are legal.......the rules are on the web site....Ventura RACEWAY. Com

i know, the same ones posted from oct i think. but you had said they were gonna rework them to blend the perris/victorville cars with the bako/sms cars. im coming as much as i can, and i wanna see this thing fly and i think eliminating the southern cars will hurt it.

Ventura opens on march 2nd.....but they also are racing the hobby stocks on the 16th and the 30th .....can you guys come down?

From what I saw, 235/70 is the widest that VTA will allow. That is a 7in tire. Perris allows a 255/60 which is an 8 inch tire.

Perris also allows Vortec heads and a .485" lift cam (or atleast they did in 2012).

Curtis, do you know how they are blending The Paris and Bako cars for The 1800loanmart series. Or just either tracks rules for those races?

The rules have been updated and just need the web master to post them. The schedule will be out by next week, and the purse information can be attained by calling the track office 805-985-5433. In the past there was 2 practice dates prior to the start of the season and they should be the last 2 weeks of Feb.

Perris made two changes to the Street Stock rules. 3200# weight limit (which really screwed me) and 6" spoilers. We still have the wheel, tire, cam, and cyl head discrepency. Not sure what they plan to do for the 2 races in bako.
