Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway 4/28 Results Post by 1racefan on 04/28/12 at 11:56pm Thats funny rule 15 states all rear ends have to be single wheel at any rpm and it was clear as day several spun both tires in front of everyone in the stand but yet all dq's were over turned? |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway 4/28 Results Post by old fart racing 8 on 04/29/12 at 1:38am The cars were all tested on the track half the field was dqed. But they were all allowed to pull rearend apart to prove they were legal! No one was illegal. It was not a proper way to teck for a locked rearend! |

Neither was just pullin the cover and glancing in there with a flashlight. Something is going on with the cars that failed initially. Bako needs a tech guy with more experience. I like how they teched them on the front stright. The fans got to see something new. BTW I think they also need to check for quick steers and quick ratio boxes. that, or just make them legal so everyone has them. I don't think they should be allowed tho. |

Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway 4/28 Results Post by old fart racing 8 on 04/29/12 at 11:21pm Quick ratio boxes are legal. They are just expensive! 750 bucks! Steering quickners are only 100 bucks! |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway 4/28 Results Post by 18racr on 04/30/12 at 7:26am WOW, sounds like the way I was DQ'd one year, what amazes me the most is the lack of tech training in that department, Sounds very Familiar, HHMMM, I just wish I was given the chance to prove I was right, I asked to pull the rearend completly apart to show the tech procedure was wrong, I was then told and these are the exact words used that night, "I wouldnt know what I was looking at so the DQ stands" talk about justice, LMAO |

Sad part Ricky is that it is probably the same guy there now that said it to you and the people that are teching it now don't know anymore than he does.. LOL.. It was crazy the way the tech was done and than changed later. A rearend can be shimmed to lock up when warm from what I have been taught.. It should not lock up at anytime or any RPM and when looking they would not be able to tell if it was shimmed.. JMO and don't bite my head off for it.. LOL.. ;D |
Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway 4/28 Results Post by 4QChris on 04/30/12 at 12:22pm 15. All rear ends must be single wheel, no pos. track, no lockers, no shimming. All rear ends must be single wheel at any rpm. After market steel axles allowed on right rear of car only. That's from the website. |

EXACTLY JACKIE.. same then as now, LMAO you cant see the shims unless pulled apart, which we was willing to do to prove it, Ivan and Big Mike built my rearend, NO extra shims were installed and we was willing to prove it that night, he was head hunting and he didnt care to be fair (more than a few people agree),, atleast the track reversed the call the other night, hate to see another driver get labeled a cheater and DQ'd when he wasnt, Good job to them for that, now they need to get better officials it sounds like, JMOO |
