Restad and Silva hooked up and dueled, made contact, nearly crashed, had the fans screaming, had me going nuts in the booth, and basically THREW IT DOWN for about 18 STRAIGHT LAPS until Restad finally prevailed in one for the ages.

I'll let Harlan do the recap, but I had to say something about an epic, epic Late Model Main at Petaluma last night.

Unofficially, Silva turned the fastest lap ever in Petaluma Speedway history at 14.0something for a Late Model in his pursuit of Restad during the main event. I don't recall ever having a LM in the 13s.... yet.

Restad gets better and better everytime i've seen him this year. And Silva has been around a long time and is always one of the top guys.

Those kind of races are the BEST!! Congrats to all.

john silva is one of the all-time great late model drivers in california, gotta love watchin him race. and a 14.040 (according to mylaps) around that place, are u serious??? track must have been really hooked up for a time like that to pop up on the scoring monitors, wow. just the oppisite of last week lol
