I just received an e-mail that due to a raised lease, Superkart Racing in Bakersfield will be closing at the end of this month.

Its unfortunate to hear that a place that a lot of drivers go to turn some laps in the time off will no longer be available.

They prompted anyone that had points or gift certificates to use them by May 31st.

We have lost our lease! Come in to race for the last time by May 31.

Man thats one dumb Landlord. 0.00 dollars for the next year or two till they find another tenet. Or what Superkart was paying them. Hopefully Superkart well find a new building. Some peoples greed.

Funny thing is when they opened that thing up five years ago I met with the owner and he told me he owned the whole building and was not using it so he decided to try the superkart thing in it. So he raised his own rent...lol. Maybe he's not involved anymore I don't know, but it is a shame to lose another motorsports related business.

I thought I heard the same thing from one of the workers one time, but maybe he leased it to someone else??? Yeah that sucks!!

HEY scott maybe u should see about gettin some of there go karts and rentin them out if u start racing go karts out there!!!
