Was checking out the Bowman Gray Stadium race results, and noticed there was a Chain Race (two-car teams chained together) - SOUNDS INTERESTING

I have race a couple of these chain races at Bakersfield speedway. They are a Blast! We used hobby stocks & street stocks.

They did that at the old Saugus speedway.

"Train races" were 3 cars chained together. Car #1 had a driver, engine and trans. Car #2 was empty. Car #3 had a driver and BRAKES.

Then, they raced in FIGURE 8's!!!

I think you ran one 16 or 17 years ago with my dads buddy. You two hobby stocks beat 2 modified streets with Scott pounds driving one of the modified streets I think.

Those were the good old days when they did different things like keg races, chain races, powder puff, figure 8 races. Man I miss those days!

Ya your exactly rite CHAD Larry and Rob Rahder won that race that you are talkin about!!!!!!!!
