The Elks DO have an RV parking area. However, it would be wise to check with them before planning to stay overnight. |
Title: Re: SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY BANQUET Post by MODFAN4EVER on 12/01/09 at 1:06pm Are they letting people under 21 in? I know the elks are strict when it come to age and they was you dress!!!!!! Please let us know |

It shouldn't be a problem. This is not an "Elks" Event. It's a private party. |

As I recall, it's set up so that you can go through the front entryway directly to the dining room without entering the bar area. This way, members in the bar are NOT bothered and non-members can't access it. I don't know of a dress code, but I'd recommend AT LEAST a clean and neatly pressed firesuit. Tie optional. |
Title: Re: SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY BANQUET Post by Wooliebuger1 on 12/01/09 at 4:44pm They have a dress code on Friday nights and non-members are allowed in as guests of members, that is the cook your own, and I was told the dress code is for all functions at the club, so it would be wise to check and see if it is enforced for private parties....Don |

What IS the dress code? It can't be all that rigid. AFter all, it's a working man's club, NOT a royal palace. Too bad it's not the White House. You don't even need an invitation to get in there. |
Title: Re: SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY BANQUET Post by Chris Kearns on 12/01/09 at 5:58pm No age limit. Just need to keep the kids away from the bar. Didnt think about a dress code. Im thinking Pants, collared shirt, no hat? |
Title: Re: SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY BANQUET Post by Chris Kearns on 12/01/09 at 5:59pm This Banquet will be for West Coast Shootout Late Models, West Coast 360 Sprint Cars and Santa Maria Speedway. Champion, point finishers, Rookies of the year, etc. |
Title: Re: SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY BANQUET Post by Chris Kearns on 12/07/09 at 7:14am Kari, didnt like the hat idea, so its : Pants and no t-shirts. Pretty simple rules that even us Dirt Trackers should be able to handle. |
Title: Re: SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY BANQUET Post by GATE KEEPER on 12/07/09 at 11:51am Been that it is a Awards Banquet and not a Backyard BBQ you would think u would Dress Accordingly???? |
Title: Re: SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY BANQUET Post by Frazier15 on 12/07/09 at 3:07pm I'm going with the clown suit and the really small bike-- that way I can get back and forth to the bar really fast. |
Title: Re: SANTA MARIA SPEEDWAY BANQUET Post by hogracer3d on 12/07/09 at 3:28pm We got kicked out of the Elk's Lodge in Ridgecrest after the Pearsonville Speedway Banquet simply for conducting a "Quarter Drop" contest on stage (where you hold a quarter in your butt (or other) crack and hover over a coffee can, and release the coin (no hands allowed) and try to land it in the can. A high degree of Personal Hygene is a manditory requirement. But a line of people waiting for their turn with their pants down around their knees-- is priceless.... Glad the Ridgecrest lodge didn't know I was a Trona Lodge Trustee--lol How could they not take a joke? One of team 3d was the winner too, so what time should we be there Chris? |
