The 4 and 33 chose not to tear down their motors which was what they pulled to tech.

thanks Danny it somewhat spoiled the win but several drivers told me they would have done the same thing in my situation .it was diffinately not a horse power track last night, dry with major ruts.felt really bad for Devon one points race left and have to tear your motor down bad business .

Im not bashen the speedway its by far the best in Cali . your right i drew the pill the pill i drew was supposed to be crank inspection which should of been know more then pull your plug and drain your oil ,look in the 1"plug hole . but the tech official made it clear that its at the tracks discression so basically theres no need for the pill draw or the list. by the way i saw the list it was a tablet with alot of scribbling on it .I guess i always assumed there was a printed list with numbers on it . not trying to ruffle any feathers i always have a good time racing at Bakes .Let me know when i can bring my car to be inspected so i can race on the 27th.

That pill got pulled one time back in the day (99 or 00).  I was towing over 100 miles each way (Winnetka to Bako) at the time and i also decided to trailer it in one piece.  It was just too much work, too far from home, at too late an hour on an engine that was too hot all for $100 (3rd place pay at the time).

It is not fun for the drivers or officials but the track has to do it to keep people honest.

That pill is a tough one and if your up there in points you have to do it. I can see #4 or #33 not wanting to do it if they're not in the running for points. Devan had no choice, but to do it. There's several that would of had to do it if they had finished in the top 4. Bad break for Christine too, but rules is rules.

Title: Re: Bakersfield Speedway 9/13 Results

Christine passed.....I meant my statement to say was it was a bad break for Christine to have to break down her engine too along with Devan.....but they did what they had to do and not refused to do it.

Sorry for any confusion......Devan and Christine was there on the pad til the early morning.

Dang!

Question....does the #4 and #33 have to have their cars checked before they can race again, or do they get some kind of penalty? Just wondering what the rules are.

ALL I KNOW FROM THE STORY I HEARD FROM WHAT WAS SAID IN VICTORY LANE BEFORE A PILL WAS EVEN DRAWN AND THERE WAS NOT THAT MANY PILLS IN THE BUCKET AND THEY COULDN'T PROVIDE A LIST JUST A BUNCH OF SCRIBBLING...
SOUNDS LIKE BOBBY GOT SCREWED TO ME BUT I AM NOT TRYING TO START ANYTHING.
AND CRANK INSPECTION USED TO BE #9 NOT 1 OR 2.. IN 2005 WHEN I PULLED THE PILL THEY WHERE ABLE TO PROVIDE A TYPED LIST OF THE NUMBERS BUT IT STILL SAID CRANK NOT THE WHOLE ENGINE.
I KNOW I WOULDN'T HAVE DONE IT EITHER BOB.  I THINK IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY FOR THE MONEY THAT THEY PAY TO WIN.

BUT THAT IS THE RULES AND IF PEOPLE  DON'T LIKE THEM THEN DON'T RACE....
STILL BAKERSFIELD IS BY FAR THE BEST TRACK TO RACE AT IN CALIFORNIA....  JUST SOUNDS LIKE A BIG MESS....LOL....

You all know tearing down the motor is a possibility before you even arrive at the track. If that pill is pulled don't complain about it. If you don't want to tear down, don't. I have been in the same position Bobby was and have done the same thing. I have to tell you though, it sure is nice to be able to prove the nay sayers wrong.

Sounds like someone got screwed. same old speedway crap. The track should have a printed out sheet and show everyone every night that all the pills are in the can. That way everyone knows its on the up and up.
