I heard a couple rumors over the last couple of weeks that Bakersfield Speedway is closing down and will not be open for 2007 season. Does anyone know anything about this?

you know it was just a question if its a rumor then so be it but some people need to know the truth behind it thats all. what do you mean here we go again?

After hearing the rumor, Brady Bell called (I beleive) Ivan, and dispelled that rumor.

Wally and I got asked my one mini stock driver at victorville about this as they were planning to run many Bako races in 07 and wanted to double check that the track would be open. Rumors like this can do NOTHING but harm the track, as I am sure people who have got asked for reassurance or have accress to the forums or whatnot might now decide not to race Bako, or not to build a car and become a racer.

Whoever started the rumor should get a good pat on the back, then a push infront of a truck.

the bako rumor is the same as the s.m.s. rumor every year track is not gonna be open so i think theese rumors need to be put to rest for good this is getting to be an old thing hell lets just be prepared for a 07 race season at both tracks and git it dun

Just to let you know, NO I HAVE NOT SOLD. The person who is saying I did is full of $hit again. No I did not sell to Tom, Tom is a good friend but I wouldn't wish this on him. The facts are I have another company, a family, and better things to do right now. After the season we need a break from all the BS and we take time off. So opening night is March 4th, 2007 get your cars ready. BTW Rick, if someone did offer me $6.5 million, I'd sell in a second. Scott
