Title: Victory Circle Superstock Post by Darrell Hughes #28 on 11/26/06 at 10:02pm Does anybody have any pics of the VC SS? I went to the VC website and all i could find was pics of LMs and Mods. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by sj_valley_dave on 11/27/06 at 9:36am Hey Darrell, if you can find any pics of Sid Paynes car, thats a completed V/C car. That is the car that Darrell Hood now has. It was a 105" leaf car. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by 81LOVELESS on 11/27/06 at 6:14pm i think they should do a v/c american stock lol |

Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by dirtboxracer on 12/04/06 at 8:15pm yeah that vc super street chassis is nice.....went and looked at a guy's thats running bako next year....nice chassis |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by mama68 on 12/05/06 at 6:07am Maybe we can see if we can get VC on board with the E/W series, to give away one of their SS chassis at the end of the year, in the way of a raffle, for all the teams that particiapate in all the E/W shows in 07... |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by Spoon on 12/05/06 at 1:20pm That would be a great idea, so the guy that gets can get DQ for not having a stock front clip since u and your son make the rules up. |

Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by woodracin13 on 12/05/06 at 1:42pm The VC cars do have stock front clips under them so what are you talking about or do you know what you are talking about. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by hschamp90 on 12/05/06 at 2:11pm At the last EvsW race, the victory circle car got DQ'd for something to do with the stock front clip. Anybody know the details, no rumors. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by sj_valley_dave on 12/05/06 at 2:48pm Actually it was not the last E v W race. It was the one or two before that in Santa Maria. It was DQ for having the front clip cut short after where the turn down of the clip occurs. It just shortened the stock clip toward the rear of the car a little bit. The new V/C chassis are using the entire front Camaro clip and are legal. |

Maybe you should get your facts straight before you post any more UNEDUCATED, UNINFORMED, piss-ant statements like that. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by woodracin13 on 12/05/06 at 3:14pm Thats right the first couple of VC Streets they made had that done to them now they have the full front clip. It was only cut about 6" or so off of the clip that I seen. From what I can see it doesn't really matter the front clip is tied to the rest of it anyways so what difference does a couple inches make. JMO but the VC do have full clips now. Later, |

I didn't make the rules, mama68 didn't make the rules, SMS drivers didn't make the rules. The "Bakersfield" drivers did. By a vote + me and Chris. Then we sold SMS on them as the new EW rulebook. We don't tell the officials what to tech or who to DQ. This is an old topic that was started by misinformation. Theres a misconception that the East West allows what ever gets ran at one track reguardless of the rules. That was the case "BEFORE" we had one rule book. That was the whole idea behind "one rule book," so drivers wouldn't have to argue with the officials. If someone brings something to the track that isnt legal in the "one rule book" that both tracks agreed on, mama68 or anyone for that matter has nothing to stand on in your defense. Now we have one rulebook so everone knows what's up. The reason IMCA has a full frame rule and the reason it's an EW rule is because if you don't, someone will show up with only a crossmember and call it a stock clip. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by jrtracing on 12/05/06 at 8:45pm The VC chassis that was DQ'd was built to Mesa Marin's rules. When it was made it wasn't intinded to be a dirt car or run under our rules. I'm sure VC looked at a rule book before they decided to start building dirt cars. At vegas the Mod chassis went through with flying colors. They had to cut a small amount of the body, but that was minor. In the IMCA division Paul Vetter used to say "If your home track has been letting it run, and you go out of town and your car is illeagal, you've been a victim of bad tech at home. Be mad at your home track, not the one that caught you!" That's probably not word for word, but close. And he has a point. |

very well said quote lee one thing about the vc car that was built for mesa, it was built into a perimiter frame with right side door bars and not a straight frame rail car. just a little fyi |

You know it is really great when someone gets on here and makes some smarta** remark for what ever reason, that has either no truth or merrit to it. Looks like this person either has a dislike for me, Billy or my team, which ever it is, I really don't care. All rules in the E/W series were made by the racers after alot of debating and majority vote made the rules. I did not make nor vote on 1 rule in the book, and far as Billy, he got 1 vote just like everyone else. It always cracks me up, that when things were about to die, and a group of people get together to try and save it, there is always someone that pops up, and slams things because they don't go or aren't the way they would like it. We started the E/W series to save SS racing, not to be popularity contest, and it is impossable to make everyone happy, but the drivers that got involved knew the division was in trouble, and made rules for the betterment of our division, not for themselves. This is why it is working....TEAMWORK... So I am very sorry you feel the way you do, but next time get your facts straight before you get on here, with mistruths Sandie Simkins ps..East vs West rules were done in January of 2006, and were posted everywhere, and handed out to anyone that requested them, so anyone that brings a car out that does not conform to the rules, is taking a risk of being DQ'd., which is their fault, not ours. This is not a run what you brung series, that's why we have officials that tech. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by lmfan01 on 12/06/06 at 10:18am Very well said Sandie!!! |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by JOHNSON MOTORSPORTS 1 on 12/06/06 at 3:25pm very nicely said. some people r just a** holes. hell it probably wasnt even a racer that was talking crap. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by SS72 on 12/06/06 at 3:50pm Excellent comments from Lee & Sandie. Two thumbs up for you both. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by Spoon on 12/07/06 at 10:45am So did they look at Hoods car, or did they just tell him that he was DQ, thats not what they tech that night. Its funny that Sid races they car with no problems Hood has it does well and gets DQ. What im getting at is theres no advantage with not having the rest of clip there, lets go around and look at every car thats cut a little off there horns after a small fender bender. So since the rules are made up by the drivers lets take a vote on this too, just like the one that u started for the aluminum bodys. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by jrtracing on 12/07/06 at 11:13am I don't think Sid ever finished the main towards the front of the field at SMS. I can make that chassis legal in 20 min or less. It's unfortunate that Darrell took the brunt of that deal, because he would be a good guy to have supporting a division, and I think it left a bad taste with him. I think it's a non-issue, the car didn't conform to the rules and it got DQ'd. If Bako would have given Brad leniency on the weight rule he'd have won the Bako championship, but it was a cut and dry rule, just the same. |
Title: Re: Victory Circle Superstock Post by imracin68j on 12/07/06 at 11:26am They checked my car and everyone else in the top 5 for a full clip.. I'm confused: "That's not what they checked that night?" The only thing I would agree with you on is if they didn't like the car they should have said it before the race and not let 2d run rather than letting it run and then DQing. No one likes to see someone have a good run and get DQ'd. And I'll guarantee the last thing mama68 wants is someone to travel two hours to run a EW race at her home track and get DQ'd. If I was in that position I would weld a couple horns on the back and be done with it. Then the car would be legit under everyones rules. |
